Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domain names can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level names remained working.

Through our company, you can get your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no special stipulations on who can obtain a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the goal behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME domain extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your local language.
